Fitness enthusiast and reviewer from Berlin

The Short Version

I am Mia Weber, based in Berlin, and for several years I have been sharing my experiences at gyms across Germany.

This site came about after I grew weary of picking gyms based on marketing and vague tips, only to find that the reality didn't match. I wanted clear, candid details about what these places are really like. When I couldn't find them, I chose to build them myself.

Over a dozen Gyms Visited
Three Years Active
More than two hundred Classes Attended

How This Started

My workout routine began at a small club near Fitnessstraße 7 in Berlin. It wasn't perfect, yet it was reachable, affordable, and it helped me establish consistency.

Following its closure, I observed how quickly the fitness scene in Germany was changing. New clubs opened, new concepts emerged, and marketing grew louder than actual member experience.

I began trying various gyms and classes, jotting notes after each visit. Gradually those notes became this site, created to help others make better-informed choices.

My Approach to Reviews

Each review here reflects genuine visits and time spent inside the facility. I concentrate on practical details that matter when selecting a membership.

When I review a fitness center, I typically:

  • Spend ample time to grasp routines, peak times, and trends
  • Visit on various days and times
  • Try multiple training formats and instructors
  • Regularly use amenities to assess cleanliness and comfort
  • Talk with other members about consistency and gaps
  • Make notes right after each visit

I revise reviews when there are notable changes: renovations, changes in management, price adjustments, or new facilities. Each article displays its last update date so you can gauge how current the information remains.

What I Look For

My priorities may differ from yours, so here is what matters most to me when assessing a gym:

Comfort and Privacy: Does the space feel thoughtfully designed for members, with considerate boundaries and a tranquil vibe?

Equipment Quality: Are machines well-maintained? Is there sufficient variety? Are repairs prompt?

Crowd Management: Is it possible to train during your preferred hours without constant waiting?

Clean Facilities: Locker rooms, showers, floors, and equipment surfaces. Cleanliness reflects how seriously the management takes the member experience.

Honest Membership Practices: Clear pricing, clear rules, and no surprises.

Beyond the Gym

Outside of training and this writing, I live and work in Berlin. This project aims to simplify fitness decisions and provide clearer information for those seeking the right setting.
